Why the Office of County Judge is Important to Our Future

As our region continues to grow, Washington County’s next Judge will need to meet that change head-on, and shepherd tremendous county growth. We need strong leadership to define the goals and vision of where we want our prosperity to lead us.

 

You as a voter need to know where your leaders stand on critical issues. County Judges face critical issues that vary widely.  In an effort to be as open and comprehensive about what a Deakins administration as Judge will look like, I have selected several issues that will be important over the next few years.

Small businesses are essential.

“Patrick Deakins, Washington County JP District 5, and Carrie Perrien Smith, Benton County JP District 5, have both drafted Resolutions to be voted on by their Quorum Court's at their next meetings. Their Resolutions seek to acknowledge that all Arkansas businesses are essential, and the people of Arkansas should be able to make their own decisions about their health.”
